How to Create Your Own Handwriting Fonts
Nowadays, hand written letters are on edge of extinction. Everything has became digital. So what if you wanna send your friend, bae a handwritten wish or a letter via email? Sometimes you wish you could see your handwriting in text editors like Notepad, WordPad, etc. instead of system fonts.
There is a way to get this done with a little effort. There are lots of Software available on market but those are paid apps. If you need for professional project you should buy right now but What if you need just for few days or only for fun. We cannot spend large bucks on this, especially when you are a student.
Microsoft has introduced its own “Microsoft Font Maker” in March 2018. An app for Windows 10 & later (Linked at bottom). Its interface is quite plain. You will see the Blank Template page on the Home screen.
Note that when you start using the app you will notice you cannot undo or erase once anything has written. It has just released so they are working on more features. But you can use “Save” button after drawing each successful letter. This app is only compatible on Microsoft devices with Touch Feature or with any Input Tablets like Wacom.
Don’t you worry if you do not own Touchscreen Windows or you have Mac devices, you can use Calligraphr (formerly known as MyScriptFont). An online web service to create custom handwriting fonts (Linked at bottom). You can Quick Test the service without registration. You’ll have to download Empty PDF Template file from there. Fill up the alphabet boxes with the Marker and then upload it back to the site. Then site will do the magic and give you your font. There are two versions free & paid. Free version will let you do almost you need. and again you need to get a premium subscription for more features.
